January 2018

Cabin was last minute switch from original reservation. Rental office offered this one due to frozen pipes. This house did not disappoint. The 3 bedrooms offered 3 totally separate living areas which gave each couple a place to retreat and relax. For dining and evening festivities, we all fit in the main living area. Everything we needed for a successful 4 day visit was provided. Great weekend, snowy weather, was perfect for tubing.

Memorable Family Christmas… like a Hallmark movie!

We stayed at the Soaring Eagle from Dec. 21st thru Dec. 26th. We were a family of 7 ranging in ages from 7 to 75, and this cabin accommodated us all. The cabin was clean and inviting. We made several meals in the fully equipped kitchen. The TV reception was crystal clear for all our Christmas movies. We brought our garland and tree from home. That, with the gas fire place, made it truly magical. I also appreciated not having to haul off any trash, which I have experienced with other cabins. The cabin is also centrally located to everything. We only had one issue; we could not join the WiFi. It was totally our error, but I mention this because the rental company had someone there to help us in under 5 minutes. Their response time spoke volumes to me. I would definitely rent this cabin again.

This home was an unexpected surprise. The photos were representative of the property but could not communicate how georgeous the view was.  Sitting on the deck at sunset was worth every penny.  Very high end rental, well worth the price.

We recently came here for a long weekend getaway, and the cabin was a fantastic place to stay. It was absolutely spotless, extremely comfortable, and had more than enough room for our family of 4. And then there was the view! We’ve stayed in Maggie Valley before, and visited Asheville many times, but we’ve never had a view like this. The weather was perfect and we never even used the dining room – we ate every meal outside on the deck. We enjoyed our stay so much we didn’t want to leave, and even added another night at the last minute. The property managers were very helpful and easy to deal with. We would absolutely come back for another stay someday!

We stayed in this cabin to ring in the new year in 2014 and we did it again this year. We love this cabin, how cozy it is but more importantly the comfort and convenience it brings. 3bd/3ba so no sharing necessary. Everyone has their privacy which is a great feature. The common areas are spacious and tastefully designed. We will definitely return to this cabin if we can.

I stayed at Soaring Eagle for 3 nights while I was looking at properties in the area. This home is terrific in every way- the design & decor, the view, the appointments. It is obvious that you are visiting the owners second home, not just a rental property. Soaring Eagle is cozy, easy to get to yet secluded on a ridge, safe and comfortable. I’ve rented many homes and I would rate this my favorite- so much so, that I am coming back next summer! If you are looking in the Maggie Valley/ Waynesville area and need accommodations for 3 couples +, you won’t beat Soaring Eagle.

“We had a wonderful time at Soaring Eagle lodge. The home itself was well maintained. We loved being able to sit and drink wine at night in front of the great electric fireplace. The views are fantastic! We had gorgeous weather throughout our trip.

This home is close to restaurants, the Blue Ridge Parkway, antique shopping, and sightseeing. It is very well maintained and decorated. The kitchen had everything you needed or wanted to fix a meal, and lots of place to sit. We needed ESPN to watch a particular game and the owner got it for us immediately. Nice and accommodating. The only problem we had, which was a slight one, was getting out of the driveway. The space is a tad small so you have to go back and forth a bit. All in all, we had a fabulous time in North Carolina and would go back to Soaring Eagle in a flash.”

We had an adventure packed week with some incredible hikes, white water rafting, zipline, swimming hole, a visit to Asheville, and finally made it to Mast’s in Waynesville late yesterday for a bit of shopping before a grilled salmon dinner on your porch with another amazing sunset.

Good Gracious!  Great Vacation!:  This cabin is truly fantastic. We ate all breakfasts and dinners at the picnic table on the main deck just so we could enjoy the cool mountain breeze and majestic views. We were a family of four with two grandparents and had plenty of room to spread out. Our time was spent touring the Blue Ridge Parkway, horseback riding, ruby mining, and tubing in Deep Creek. We had delicious food at Ammon’s in Maggie Valley, and Waynesville is just a short drive away if you need a large grocery store. The cabin has everything you need for a vacation base. Rocking chairs, a hammock, and comfortable beds for relaxing, plentiful T.V.’s for entertainment, and an iron skillet for frying freshly caught trout. There is also a large Weber grill for hamburgers and hotdogs. My young children really enjoyed the playground at the base of the mountain and were very sad to leave the house. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.

The cabin was beautiful and very accommodating. The views were absolutely amazing & breathtaking! We want to come back to enjoy warmer weather and the wonderful outside living areas and firepit! If it had a hot tub, we could have enjoyed the view even more during the cold weather! 🙂 Everything awesome, just little things like kitchen needed some smaller glasses for kids.
